Centipede

Centipede is by far the most common grass we sell,mainly because of its ability to grow well in soils with low fertility. Centipede is often called the “ lazy man’s grass “ Centipede has low to moderate shade tolerance, grows well in acidic & sandy soils. Centipede does not get disease very often. Centipede is not as salt tolerant as other grasses

Bermuda 

Bermuda grass is mainly used on golf courses & athletic fields but can also be found in home lawns. Bermuda has a great ability to handle heavy foot traffic & grows very dense. Bermuda has a good drought tolerance & grows best in full sunlight.

Bermuda has a fine width blade 

A pallet of Bermuda covers 500 square feet 

St Augustine 

St Augustine grass is still the most shade tolerant grass available, it has a wider width blade & a dark green color. 

St Augustine grass is more susceptible to disease & insect damage.

A pallet of St Augustine covers 400 square feet.

Icon Zoysia 

Icon Zoysia has a medium width blade & a dark green color. Icon Zoysia also does well with heavy foot traffic,has a moderate shade tolerance & is very drought tolerant. Icon Zoysia is more resistant to disease than other grasses. Icon Zoysia is a slow growing grass which means less mowing in the summer . 

Icon Zoysia is one of the most salt tolerant grasses, therefore it does very well in coastal areas .
